MODULAR CONSTRUCTION
With the repetitive nature of new build accommodation projects, where we’re creating dozens of identical bedrooms and bathrooms, we make extensive use of modular construction to drive down cost and time. And because the units are put together in a factory environment we can ensure consistent high quality finishing.
The modular approach has matured from simple bathroom pods to complete study bedrooms complete with furniture and even to larger studio apartments. Mansell is adept at working out the logistics of receiving a large number of units on site at one time and speedily installing them.
We’re fully conversant with every detail of the process from design through to transportation to site and even the type of scaffolding that’s required for the installation.
If you’re considering modular construction a conversation with Mansell would be a good place to start.
REFURBISHMENT
New build isn’t always the answer. Sometimes refurbishing or renovating existing accommodation or even converting buildings that have been put to some other use is a better solution.
Projects like this might involve structural repairs, preserving historical facades, relocating bathrooms and stairways and installing new lifts.
It’s an ideal opportunity too to install features that will be kinder to the environment and make for lower maintenance in the long term. More efficient central heating and lights that only switch on when they detect movement are examples of possibilities to consider.
Along with our experience and the skill in carrying out major refurbishment works, Mansell has a track record of successfully working with English Heritage on Listed buildings.
