Mansell welcomes Strata

We are delighted to welcome colleagues from Strata Construction Ltd who joined the Mansell team in December.

From its base in Doncaster, Strata’s strong presence in Yorkshire and the surrounding areas will give Mansell a more comprehensive capability in the region with minimal overlap with our adjacent operations in the midlands and north of England.

Much of their experience has been in the provision of affordable housing and extra care facilities, so this acquisition will support our strategy of generating long-term, sustainable workflow in these key sectors.

Notable recent projects include Roman Ridge, Sheffield, a development offering 80 extra care apartments and associated facilities, Meadsteads, Royston, Barnsley, a 50 bedroom extra care home for the elderly and Rashcliffe Hill Phases 1,2 and 3, a new affordable housing development of 83 units in Huddersfield.

There are strong synergies between us – both are long-established businesses, we work in similar markets with an emphasis on framework agreements and we share a commitment to making a positive difference to the communities in which we work.

The intention is for the business to become our new “Yorkshire Region” , adopting the Mansell brand but with the team continuing to work under the leadership of Andrew Stevenson, the existing Managing Director along with Mark Rosindale Commercial Director and Craig Houston Construction Director.
